Report: Examining Standards of Baseline Data Acquisition for EIA and Mitigation for Offshore Construction under the EU Habitats Directive
IWDG publish new document on impacts of offshore wind on cetaceans.
The IWDG have published the proceedings from a workshop held by the group at the European Cetacean Society conference last year. The workshop, titled Examining Standards of Baseline Data Acquisition for EIA and Mitigation for Offshore Construction under the EU Habitats Directive, brought together a group of international experts in the fields of underwater noise, mitigation, legislation, regulation, monitoring and assessment. The workshop identified key themes and knowledge gaps for future work, and the proceedings are a valuable resource for anybody working in the area of offshore renewable energy in European waters.
